At Black Tie Digital Marketing we know how important it is for your company’s tone to remain consistent on social media. Tweeting, blogging, and posting content that is true to your brand’s personality helps to maintain genuine relationships with customers. According to Danny Sullivan’s recent Marketing Land column, the CIA recently joined the Twitter universe and sent a tweet which not only was consistent with their brand, but also set the tone for the entire account.
The first tweet from the verified CIA Twitter account read “We can neither confirm nor deny that this is our first tweet.” The account only went active in the beginning of June and already has over 600,000 followers. The account is only following 25 accounts, including other government agencies like the FBI, DEA, NSA, and the branches of the military. The CIA’s second tweet thanked followers for the welcome and explained that they look forward to sharing unclassified content.
Unclassified content or not, the CIA joining Twitter speaks volumes for the continuing growing power of social media. If you are looking to enhance your digital presence, contact your social media optimization team in Melbourne, Florida. We’ll see you on Twitter @blacktiedigital!
