Instagram Updates Are Aimed At Being More User Friendly

Black Tie Digital Marketing has fully embraced the wonders of Instagram and we hope you and your business has too! It’s a great way to share visual insight into your brand with your customers and followers. However, two years after arriving on the iPhone, Intsagram is finally starting to roll out web profiles.

The way Instagram has worked since it’s launch is when you share a link to an Instagram photo on Facebook or Twitter, people are able to view that photo but they can’t do much else; users can’t access your other photos you have posted or any details about your account unless they specifically look you up on Instagram. By adding user profiles, Instagram is looking to solve those particular problems.

These new web profiles look an awful lot like Facebook’s Timeline because they feature a rotating collage of photos where your Facebook cover photo would be. Below that, a small profile image, short bio, and follower stats rest just above your photo history — which is arranged in reverse-chronological order. Instagram’s web profiles also enable individuals to follow new users, like photos, and leave comments directly from their browsers.

If you have been neglecting your Instagram account, hoping this new social media fad would just end already, then uncross your fingers and start taking photos because this new feature will allow more user interaction. If you need any help managing your social media marketing in Melbourne, Florida then give our team at Black Tie Digital Marketing a call!
